You and Your Thermostat - Programmable, Non, & WiFi

Posted by Madi Crites on Jul 12, 2016 3:49:29 PM

Programmable, Non-programmable, & Wifi settings

Technology is progressing further and further every single day. This holds true in the air-conditioning business as well. It used to be that you'd have to pick a temperature to set your thermostat to and just leave it. There was no way to change it while away from home or late at night while alseep. Your poor wallet suffered dearly when the bills came a-knockin' thanks to the lack-of-technological advances. NOT ANY MORE! Almost all modern day thermostats now have programmable options as well as non-programmable. These settings allow for automatic temperature control through cycles throughout the day. Another welcomed advancement, and probably the most tech-savy feature of certain thermostats, is the wifi-compatibility these thermostats now have. These devices are conveniently controllable from home or your iPhone or Android!

The Difference Between an Air Conditioner and a Heat Pump

Posted by Madi Crites on May 25, 2016 11:35:05 AM

Tri County Air Conditioning wants to make sure that those in the Manatee, Charlotte, and Sarasota Counties know the difference between air conditioners and heat pumps! Though the two units might look similar, they have very different operating methods. An air conditioner can be used for both cooling and heating all different sizes of rooms. Even though it is multi-functional, it’s used mainly to maintain cool room temperatures during the hot months, which we are all too familiar with here in Southwest Florida.  A heat pump is also a unit that can be used for both heating and cooling rooms, its main perk over an air conditioner being its efficiency while in heat mode.
